TRY-OUTS
The Club is committed to holding open, fair, and unbiased tryouts for each team once per year, immediately following the spring season. Tryout schedules will be posted online at least one month prior to them taking place. The club will advertise the tryouts in the local newspaper. A returning player will NOT be allowed to try-out if he or she has outstanding debts to the Club or their team. The Club’s Techincal Director of Coaching (TDOC) and his training staff will be responsible for scheduling and conducting try-outs.
COACHING AND TRAINING
The club has an outstanding cadre of coaches, carefully selected according to the club’s philosophy to achieve success in every area of player and team development. The TDOC is responsible for the selection of all head coaches. Coaches will be contracted and compensated by the club based on past success, experience (both playing and coaching), and licensure. Each coach’s salary will be negotiated by the TDOC on behalf of the club prior to the beginning of each seasonal year. Every team will be required to take part in a specific curriculum as established by the TDOC. Each age group with more then one team will have an age group coordinator that will fill the role as head coach for both teams. It is expected that all teams in each age group will work together in training programs, player movement, tournaments, and social and community events.
FCSC places high priority on hiring a highly qualified, licensed and knowledgeable coaching staff. The club provides strong support for the coaches by:
- Promoting and funding continuing education and other avenues for coaching development.
- Providing competitive pay scales based upon coaching experience, licensing and performance.
- Providing a professional, supportive environment.

Parent volunteers play an important role in managing the Club teams. The Club’s travel administrator will be responsible for rostering and league registration for each team. One parent chosen by the head coach will act as Team Manager. The responsibilities of the Team Manager are detailed in a separate
Team Management Guide which has been assembled to simplify the team management role. All newly formed Club teams will receive assistance from the Club Administrator in setting up the initial team structure. This will included but not be limited to assistance in: setting up team bank accounts and budgets, fundraising ideas, filling volunteer roles and setting up the team hotline. which has been assembled to simplify the team management role.
